According to Bob Brookover of Philly.com, the Eagles will have big Eugene Monroe of Virginia coming to the Nova Care complex, on Monday of next week.
The Eagles are having Monroe come to town to falsely signal to the rest of the league that they would be willing to move to top five in the draft to get this guy. Monroe is going to go number two, three or five. There's no way in the world they are going to do that.
This is a like a head fake by a running back as he cuts back inside to get yardage.
I could see them going after Alabama's Andre Smith if he were to drop to the 10th spot in the first round or lower.
Monroe has the size, foot work, arm length and work ethic to be an anchor at left tackle for a decade. He would just be too costly based on when he's going to go and where the Eagles sit in the first round.
