Well, this isn’t good. Any time you have a short series like this, you have to be very careful because anything can happen, and anything can happen very quickly. In short, you could be out on your butt in just a few days after a long 162-game season.
So, hearing that Placido Polanco is out of today’s lineup for Game 1 of the NLDS against the Cincinnati Reds was a little disheartening. According to multiple journalists on Twitter, he’s out with a sore back.
Polanco has been the Phils’ most consistent hitter this year and they better hope that this isn’t serious. I don’t have a ton of information on this right now, but let’s hope they are just giving him some rest.
Wilson Valdez takes his place at third base today. He’s done an admirable job this year, but he isn’t Polanco.
Teams that finish 49-19 since July 22 dont go out on there butt cause of a sore back too a key player. They make it work and pick up the slack. Wonder if they have any experience with that? Come on Micah…Wilson Valdez has been clutch this year with all the injuries. Dont see that changing. Is it the Birds being stinking DOGS to a 0-4 team that has you draggin dude? The only disheartening thing is the bum networks putting this game on at 5oclock!!!wtf!!!?
Go PHILLS!!
And he dyed his beard white?Oh forget it…he goes 3-4!!!
I heard the Eagles QB K Kolb was a pretty good 3rd Baseman when he was in High School
(Coach Reid told me)
When he decides too lift his goddamn chin and huck the ball down field i’ll talk Birds. Im boycotting myself from any comments on the football team with intention of not getting into b.s. soap opera debates on this site. ITS PHILLS 24-7 untill the football team grows some friggin nuts!!!
mancini you have to be the most annoying person ever to draw breathe
Thank you RTB,
My Wife,Kids,Co-workers,Neighbors,general acquaintances and even my pet doggie tell me the same thing all the time…I think God put me on this planet, just to annoy people…
Valdez could start at SS. I honestly would love to see the Phillies re-acquire Cliff Lee in the off-season, even if it meant trading J-Roll.
