Phillies-Giants Game Two Of NLCS Discussion

About an hour or so ago, I left the sports complex down there in South Philadelphia and the people were having a great time after the Eagles win.  Still I could see that everybody going to Phillies game looked concerned because they know the Phils must have this one.

You’ve got Roy Oswalt battling John Sanchez in this key game.  Oswalt has the experience advantage but Sanchez

Somebody should have told Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard to stay away from the camera if he goes to the Eagles game.  Going to the game today wasn’t a good decision for Howard.

If he fails to get a hit tonight, people are going to be all over him with criticism for failing to concentrate before the biggest game of the season.  It might not affect his performance tonight at all but he put a bull’s eye on himself.

Hey fellas, let’s enjoy game two of the National League Championship Series.

Oswalt just got out of the first inning and he seems to throwing bee-bees.

Well maybe doing something different will help Howard out. The way he strikes out, it can’t hurt.

I know Howard got 2 hits so far , but he struck out when we needed him most. Thank u Rollins for hitting those guys home. I know Howard’s production during the regular season is amazing, but in the post season when he faces better pitching he strikes out. I probally am in the minority, but i would trade a 300 hitter for Howard now. That 300 hitter would have helped us in the world series. Actually, alot of Yankees did not hit either, but i remember their 2 300 hitters did.

Phillies play much better, looser, last night…More aggressive also, and focused on the ‘little things’…Saturday, Phils tight and out-of-sync, no rhythm…In addition, home plate ump pinch the strike zone…Last night, strike zone ‘float’, but Oswalt don’t let it bother him.

Only people worried about Howard are those with kindergarten mentality…Who cares?…All that matters is how he plays in the baseball game…Should he have locked himself in a closet to punish himself because of his strike outs night before?..C’mon!
