What a performance by LaBron! That was like Michael, Larry and Magic used to take over a game in the playoffs. The kid showed you his heart last night and he's only 22 years old. How ridiculous does it look that people were trying to label this kid a choker?
A college-aged kid who carries his team to the playoffs, but couldn't carry them past a seasoned-team like Detroit was labeled a choker. At 22, Michael Jordan couldn't spell playoffs. I'm sure the Pistons wil vouch for his heart. I was happy for the kid because he's got to do everything for the Cavs. I'm amazed at his maturity at such a young age. The dude must be from outer space.
Barry Bonds will be in town this weekend so everybody and their brother will come out and talk about how evil Barry Bonds is. Bonds is no more evil than the people who are running it. Remember those people looked the other way when Mark McGuire and Sammy Sosa were shattering the season home run record. For Bud Selig and his cronies to act Bonds is the evil one is ridiculous. Remember Bonds started using steroids because his ego couldn't take seeing lesser players like Sosa and McGuire being paraded about like they were the best thing since sliced bread. The fact that Selig won't acknowledge Barry's accomplishments doesn't get MLB off the hook. They should have a news conference and confess to the fact that they looked the other way and led Major League Baseball astray.
I was looking at the made for television movie "61" about Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle in the 1961 record setting year and I almost threw up when I saw the way the movie ended. They showed the Maris family watching Mark McGuire's record-setting homer, then McGuire talked about how it touched his heart that he was able to hold the bat that Maris swung with to break Babe Ruth's record. They showed how the nation was spell-bound as the steroid-aided McGuire was lifted up as a national hero. All the Major League Baseball officials were there celebrating as well. Now they're going to refuse to come clean and act like Barry Bonds is the problem. They're just as morally-decayed as Bonds and therefore they should sentenced to have to sit at each of his games as he breaks the greatest and most hallowed record in sports.
