Vick To Be Introduced As Eagles Starting QB At Linc For The 1st Time

Michael Vick has accomplished quite a bit this season in only the four full games he’s played in and the two partial games in which he has seen action.  Vick was NFC Offensive Player of the Month for his work in September, plus he’s been NFC Offensive Player of the Week the last couple of weeks.

He’s led the Birds to four victories and become the undeniable leader of this football team, but there’s one thing which Vick has yet to do.  The Superstar QB hasn’t been introduced at Lincoln Financial Field in front of Eagles fans as the team’s starting quarterback.

Although there are still Eagles fans, who wouldn’t cheer for Vick if their lives depended on it, the atmosphere is going to be electric and the home crowd is going to explode tomorrow night when number 7 is introduced in front of hyped-up Birds fans for the first time.

“I haven’t thought about it yet due to the fact that we’ve been trying to get ready for the game this weekend and trying to be ready with the preparation”, Vick told a group of reporters on Friday. “Now that the time has come and it’s almost game time, I think it’s going to be exciting. It’s going to be a great atmosphere and I think that’s going to set the tone.”

The talented quarterback is planning on savoring the moment before starting the battle against the New York Giants.

“It’s just going to be very gratifying to get the reaction and I can’t wait”.

Would you cheering for him if you were there or would you be sitting on your hands?

Michael Vick is finally going to get his due as the starting QB for the Philadelphia Eagles….and yes Eagles nation he eventually will get a multiyear deal from Jeffrey Lurie bet on it. To clear up another matter among Eagles nation the New York Giants are our biggest rival within the NFC East as the saying goes we dont like the Giants and the Redskins dont like Dallas. Props to Scorpiodsu and Jakedog for being on top of this. I was at that game when the eagles lost 62 -10 it was played at Yankee Stadium for some you other old heads.

He’s earned an ovation.

Essentially another national game Sunday

NFL has to be loving the excitement Vick is bringing –just wish he didn’t have off field history to taint it

It was nice to see Vick get recognized this week. It was certainly a team performance, but that was definitely one of the best athletic performances I have ever been lucky enough to watch live. As you mentioned drummer Vick has certainly earned an ovation. Its cool to watch how he has energized this team and the confidence that he gives some of these other guys. There aren’t a lot of athletes that can do that. ts great to see Vick embrace that leadership role.

No matter his past, the story itself is a great example for others and gives people HOPE. There are a lot of people hurting in our country right now that would love a second chance at something important in their lives. I got nervous after his 30th birthday party incident, but he is taking advantage of his second chance. People have to be drawn to someone making the most of a second chance. And he’s helping all the people around him.

rcp..if Vick didn’t have off field history from the past, he would still be a Falcon.

In hindsight…..a blessing have come through tragedy and far as I’m concerned …It never happened.

My dog is fine…

Go Vick! Go Eagles!

Vick getting arrested for dog fighting could very well be the best thing that has ever happened to him AND dog fighting.

Songs – Excellent Point. He would not be in the midnight green if it were not for his past.

Also thank you for bringing in the term “Baby-Arm”. I still laugh every time I type it.

What amazes me is how Ben Ruthlessburger can rape young women and you hardly hear a protest about him. There are a ton of NFL players with History. And many of them did not have their High School strip their name from the throphy case (warwick hs newport news va), lose a 100 million dollar contract, and actually serve REAL prison time. Get over it.

10 years ago my sons stole some money from me. I whipped them in public and made them write Exodus 20:15 until I got tire. They never stole again, and are outstanding college students. We forgive who we want to. If Vick was not punished nor repentful I could see bringing up his past. But people like Rhea Hughes, who won’t forgive a person after they have paid for their crime, obviously have never done anything wrong and never needed to forgiven.

Hey Songs

Vick as his boys were dognapping peoples pets to use as training victims

Your dog may be fine but they would have had no problem with stealing him and using him as training fodder

It is really hard to get that fact out of the back of a persons head

Dogs are the most loyal pets a person can have and will die for their owners

Wait a second; how does nobody point out that this is NOT Vick’s first start in Philadelphia?!?!?! Does everyone not remember him starting in Philly against the Colts?

Bsmvideos, before I debate your point, let me tell you that I hate Roethlisberger. But using the term “women” is a big exaggeration as it was only one girl. And biggest difference between Vick and Roethlisberger, is that Vick was actually convicted. There will always be a hint of doubt as to what Ben actually did that night.

Not to mention, Ben was never even charged with sexual rape; I believe it was sexual assault. Both extremely horrible but not quite the same.
