The NFL had the chance to give Philadelphia Eagles fans an early Christmas gift, but it’s not happening.
I’m sure you saw Andre Johnson and Cortland Finnegan get into one of the better football fights you’ll see on Sunday.
The two players went at it, ripping each other’s helmets off. Johnson landed two decent punches to Finnegan’s unprotected head and the speculation started. Will they get suspended? For how long? How much will they get fined?
I thought for sure Johnson would get suspended for a game at least, but that’s not the case. Both players were fined $25,000 for the incident and neither will miss any time. Surely, the Eagles would have preferred not to have to face the best wide receiver in football. Yep, that would have been better….and stop calling me Shirley (I miss him already. Not remotely my favorite quote, but I couldn’t work “you can’t take a guess for two hours?” into a post about football).

So let me get this straight…incidental helmet to helmet in the act of play….75k and probably a suspension…ripping a helmet off, and beating a guy senseless..25k? Punching a Qb in the face and knocking him down…25k?..Protecting the players and image of the league MY ASS!..Where is Dana White? Is this the Ufc? Take his back, then proceed to ground and pound? I know he looked liked Dj Paulie D, and deserved it, but come on Roger Goody…get your act together.
Really Paul is that what you see? Nah you don’t see DJax with a monster game, you don’t see our D maybe getting to Shaub? Okay Johnson very well may have that game but I find it suspect that that is your lead off and only post….. Huh nevermind..damn.

Eagles will come out hot and go up 31-10 early in the 3rd Period and than hang on as Texans mount a comeback and the Eagles hang on 37-31 Victory with A Johnson having 13 catches for 220 yards.
Eagles Passing Defense is nothing to write home about either and are ranked 13th overall

behind) and their LB B Cushing who is playing pretty well after ealry season Suspension and has a knack of being around the ball and a little similar to C Matthews Jr but doesn’t blitz as much.
If Eagles contain these 2 players, Vick and the Eagle offense should move the ball and put up big points versus this Team..

colts are 6th in league passing d
giants are 1st in the league in passing d
bears 16th passing d but 4th overall d so last 2 weeks 1st d and 4th d we went 1-1
i say 2-1 out of that 3 week stint was certainly fair
and bears are 16th now because of vick 333 they were like 14th when we played them

If Vick doesn’t throw for 300 + yards and at least 3 TD passes, then something’s wrong.
This will be the weakest Defense the Eagles will see the rest of this Year by far and in the playoffs if they were to make it, so they better be hitting on all cylandirs or it will be another opportunity lost..

The league is jacked. Guys get hit with 50k in fines for playing the game the way it’s supposed to be played and dudes are on the field fighting and get such small fines (when compared) and no suspensions? Seriously? How can you justify that? Its no too bad to find and throw punches but its very bad to hit a “defenseless” receiver in the field of play.
Paulman always talks about what other teams are supposedly going to do to us but not too much about what we are going to do to them UNTIL you call him out on it. Can’t pay too much attention to that type of stuff especially when a bunch of it isn’t based on facts just stuff he pulls out of his arse. Sometimes, he just posts stuff just to post even if it has no substance.
Both players should have at least been suspened for remainder of the season…Big Al got suspended for 5 games
Screw the CB finnnigan but think about what Andre Johnson does for the Houston viewing market. I have to think that was involved because I bet if it was some scrub WR, the penalty would have been greater. Just sayin…

I think what the Eagles are going to do is move the ball up and down the field against one of the worst Defenses and put up some points,but they need TD’s and not FG’s this time..

Hey don’t steal my joy, I don’t care if Texan’s D sucks, noop i don’t care. If we score 40 points I will be happy and proud of my Eagles. If they score 17 points and win same pride will I have. And for the record less we forget we have moved the ball up and down the field on every defense good and bad, and for the most part we have done fair in the redzone. the bears stumped us good there but don’t get it twisted, there is not a team in the NFC that is not concerned about us in the redzone.
