I think we’re headed for a special NCAA tournament in March with a top five Villanova team and a top 20 Temple squad.
The Wildcats have the talent to win it all and Temple could make a run deep into the tournament.
Nova has one of the best guards to ever play in the Big Five in Scottie Reynolds. He almost left for the NBA a year ago, but reconsidered when he realized coming back for another year might be his best move.
The Wildcats are 18-1 overall and are 7-0 in the Big East. They have the type of talent at the guard position with Reynolds and Corey Fisher backing him up that can make the plays at the end of a game to pull it out.
The Temple Owls 17-3 overall and 5-0 in the A-10, and they have something which all those John Chaney teams had, defense. We’ll see them use their defense in the tournament to squeeze the life out of their opponents.
I believe we could see a couple of big five teams in the elite eight which would set the town on fire.
