Will the Vikings have Peterson this week?

On Monday night, the Minnesota Vikings were missing a key offensive weapon, and it wasn’t the one we expected. Brett Favre was actually upgraded from out to questionable on game day (something I don’t think I’ve ever seen and if I did I don’t remember it) and it was their stud RB Adrian Peterson that was the no-go.

While Toby Gerhart is a decent enough player, he hardly poses the problems that Peterson does. As of now, the Vikings are optimistic and say that Peterson’s thigh is “improving,” but, it’s not a sure bet that he’ll be able to play against the Eagles.

We’ll be cautious regarding Adrian, just making sure that he can do the things he has to do the things he has to do in order to perform before we put him back out there,” said head coach Leslie Frazier.

“And if he can go, then he’ll get a chance to go, but if not, if there are any inhibitions, we won’t put him at risk.”

Frazier said that there haven’t been any discussions about shutting him down for the season, but the fact that this is even brought up means that Peterson is pretty sore.

Peterson knocked knees with Tarvaris Jackson in last week’s Giants game and supposedly it’s his thigh that ended up getting the worst of it. We’ll keep an eye on this one as the week progresses. Joe Webb and Toby Gerhart is much better for the Eagles than Favre and Peterson.

The Vikings are finished having 3 bad lopsided losses in a row..
The have no leader (Farve is done) , an Interim Coach in Leslie Frazier who is saying all the right things but doesn’t appear to want to rock the boat this late in the season and calling out many veteran players for what has been a very disappointing season by the Vikings..
Peterson won’t play if he’s smart and will be busy planning his off-season, If the Eagles don’t win this game convincingly against a team that’s beaten down all around, then I would be concerned..
I exptect Eagles to jump on them early and oftent and coast to a 37-13 Victory..

I disagree i think the only reason he didnt play was because of where they were playing. That surface was hard and really not ready to play on. I think they sat him out to be cautious. Weather its peterson or toby the bottom line is, Stop there run for there qbs to throw.
