According to Jeff McLane of Philly.com, one of the party organizers, who was using Michael Vick’s name to promote a Super Bowl party to benefit the local Boys and Girls Club in the Dallas area, Vick knew about the party.
According to McLane, Damien Butler who is a sports agent said that he asked Vick to make an appearance a few weeks ago and also asked him to host a party at the Deux Lounge for the benefit of youth facility. Vick is supposed to fork over a $10,000 check on top of that.
Now I have a major problem with the sports agent. Does he see the news? Why would he be asking Michael Vick to host a party after all the trouble Vick faced last year, when that shooting happened after his “notorious” birthday party. Why couldn’t Damien Butler think of another way to let Vick help him raise some money for the kids?
Vick has to be wise enough to get rid of these types of guys, but why would this guy want to drag Vick into another party after all that happened last summer. If this guy is an agent, he’s a lousy one.
All I’m saying is if Vick is trying to help the organization and even willing to write them a $10,000 check, this guy Butler should be going out of his way to protect Vick’s name.
From now on, if somebody calls Vick and says the word P-A-R-T-Y, he should slam the phone down on them. LOL What do you think?

Rather tiring of the media trying to make a big deal over this. Pretty much an assumption that the organisers had permission from Vick or someone representing Vick to use his name for this charitable event. If his name helped raise money for a charity then good for VIck. If he donated money to it then even better by Vick. From what I heard, the security at the event was significant and if so, the only reason Vick couldn’t attend is because of how the media would respond. Enough alread, eh?.
I’ll retract my assumption, since I’ve now read that Vick reported to Goodell that several events were using his name without his permission. So, duh, yeah he knew about it. There’s no story here. G, you can do better than this. You should be down in Dallas talking to players, owners, etc and getting real stories.
