Whenever Donovan McNabb plays for the Eagles, the story is never about the game any more. It's all about what somebody said he said, or what he said after the game, or what Andy Reid said after the game.
I've known for awhile that Donovan is tired of all the constant controversy here in Philly. I think more than any other time, he's starting to let this stuff get to him and he's ready to put it in his past.
I was surprised to hear Pam Oliver say that he told her he thinks he's not going to be here next year. I think she might have put some of her own words in the statement, she attributed to him.
I don't want to see the Eagles move McNabb but I do think going some where else would be good for him. He doesn't want to answer any more of the questions about him being the Eagles starting quarterback or getting traded to another team. He said he's been hearing talk of being traded and he's totally exhausted by all of the controversies.
I've told him just like I used to tell Randall Cunningham, don't read the paper and don't listen to the radio. He's been listening and reading to all of the criticism of his play and talk of his departure. Dwelling on it and thinking about over and over took its toll on Randall and it has taken its toll on McNabb.
