Donovan McNabb said what needed to be said in his Yardbarker.com article. He said "Let's Add Some Weapons". Although he's going to get torched for saying it, it needed to be said. Brian Westbrook and Eagles fans should be echoing the same words.
Who in their right mind can say that the Eagles have enough weapons? I don't care what Andy Reid says the Birds have gone into the fight without enough weapons throughout his tenure as the team's head coach every year except 2004. Can he look anybody in the eye and say that the Eagles weren't a better team with #81 Terrell Owens lining up for them? Why are the Cowboys so desperate to get Owens back on the field this weekend, if all that matters is the system?
Why are the Colts trying to so desperately to get Marvin Harrison back on the field for the playoffs? Why did Peyton Manning throw 6 interceptions against San Diego earlier this season with Harrison and Dallas Clark out of the lineup? Why are the Chargers hoping to get Antonio Gates back on the field this weekend?
There are difference makers in the NFL and they given that name for a reason. They make a huge difference. Why did the Colts defense improve so much last year with Bob Sanders got back in the line up? Why aren't the Eagles the same team when Brian Westbrook is out?
Andy Reid needs to wake up and smell the coffee. You can't win a Super Bowl championship without difference makers on both sides of the ball. Obviously we came to find out that a great quarterback like Tom Brady becomes the greatest quarterback ever when he is given marquee weapons.
As for hurting teammates feelings, everybody realizes and hopes the team is trying to get better. They want to be on the team but they also want to see the team get better. He didn't single out any of his teammates, while asking for more weapons.
