In a spirited news conference, Donovan McNabb said he called the meeting on Monday because he wanted to get everybody's attention.
McNabb brought something up that I know was talked about in the meeting, he said that it's not just about the play calling but the execution of the plays. I know that some of the guys were complaining about the play calling.
He said something which clearly points the finger at the team's receivers. He said, "If teams play us man to man they're saying that they don't respect our wide receivers. We have to make them pay."
He said everybody has to get their act together and step up and do their jobs.
He said there's only one ball but he wants to get the ball to all of his receivers.
On his blog, McNabb said he was embarrassed by the way he and the team played these last two weeks.
McNabb continues to say that they're a better football team than the Redskins and the Bears.
He thinks everybody has to have a sense of urgency. He says they have to eliminate mistakes and have a total team effort. He says they have to be able to run the football.
He says they have to be more consistent.
