It’s been like a family reunion in Indianapolis for the Eagles former assistants who have become NFL head coaches this weekend. They got together with their former head man, Andy Reid and had dinner. It would have been nice to be a fly on the wall at that dinner.
According to Philly.com, Big Red and his former assistants grabbed a bite to eat at St. Elmo’s, which is a steakhouse in Indy.
Eagles fans have no idea the type of respect that Reid has around the NFL. Despite not winning a Super Bowl title he is revered by his peers on a level of the most accomplished coaches in the game. You know these guys, his former assistants, have nothing but good things to say about Andy Reid.
I’m sure they talked about the good old days for a minute.
Steve Spagnuolo of the St. Louis Rams, Pat Shurmur of the Cleveland Browns, Leslie Frazier of the Minnesota Vikings, Ron Rivera of the Carolina Panthers and John Harbaugh of the Baltimore Ravens
St. Louis Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo spoke to the media this weekend and he had nothing but great things to say about his former 
offensive coordinator Cleveland Browns new head coach and former Eagles assistant as well Pat Shurmur.
“A teacher and high-character guy,” Spagnuolo said. ……“Andy put a high importance on hiring a bunch of teachers,” Spagnuolo said. “It’s a pretty important part of what you do.”
“We all learned it from Andy, who learned it from Mike,” Shurmur said.
Frazier met with the group on Friday, but his mind was on his former Bears teammate Dave Duerson, who had died last week after committing suicide. Frazier, who attended a memorial for Duerson on Saturday, had received a voice mail from Duerson but hadn’t been able to reconnect with him.
“He was a great guy. He was a smart guy, Notre Dame grad, well educated,” Frazier said. “The transition from the National Football League — and it’s been well documented — it’s not an easy transition, as you guys know. … It’s hard.”
Rivera was also a teammate of Duerson and he commented on his death.
“It’s a very sad situation. Sad for all of his former teammates, friends and family.”
“He’ll be greatly missed.”
St Elmo’s is a great place to eat, excellent Steaks and great Prime Rib too..
Wonder if they went to the “Slippery Noodle” afterwards for Drinks. A old-time
bar thats been around forever and about 2 blocks from the Stadium
