Donovan McNabb sat out this morning's workout as Andy Reid and staff don't want to push things with their star QB. Donovan has shown that he can do everything that's needed to run the football team.
There were quite a few slips by receivers trying to cut and pass rushers trying to get their footing. Changing direction wasn't an easy thing this morning, so you could understand why and Andy and Company were taking no chances with McNabb on the wet turf.
Kevin Curtis continued to shine even with McNabb's absence. This guy has the most dependable hands on the football team. I'm not proclaiming Superstardom but this dude has been impressive. Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg is really high on Curtis. Reggie Brown caught a nice bomb near the end of the workout.
One of my sleepers who I really think has a tremendous upside is defensive tackle LaJuan Ramsey. Ramsey made a big hit during the morning live plays, by breaking through into the backfield and hitting Tony Hunt for a loss. Hunt had a very good day all together. He's starting to demonstrate why the Birds drafted him. He's a very good inside runner and he does a good job of getting everything he can get out of a run. I like his patience and the way he continues churning those legs after he's hit. I could see him as a complement to Westbrook because he's a no nonsense inside runner who gets what he can get.
Jason Avant had a big day today. He made an acrobatic catch and held on to the ball after being tagged by a defender. Jason who has few drops so far, made a number of other catches during the workout.
Jevon Kearse was back in action and showed his stuff abit with a number of speed rushes.
Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie was present in Lehigh for the workout.
