The Redskins “Fat Albert” Calls Out Brandon Jacobs

Albert Haynesworth We’re going to have a fun year of football in the NFC East.  If you had any doubt, you should checkout what new Washiington Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth had to say about big Giants running back Brandon Jacobs.

When asked about the imposing Jacobs, Haynesworth responded, “They all fall the same. What is he, 250?  I weighed 250 when I was in the 10th grade.”

If you stood by Haynesworth you can understand how he could make that boast.  The dude is a straight up beast.

I talked recently to some people very close to him and they said he’s in the best shape of his career.

They said Haynesworth changed his lifestyle a couple of years ago after his suspension for using his cleats to cut the face of Cowboys center Andre Gurode.  The big fella stopped eating anything that he could get into his mouth and has lowered his body fat by 10%.

Haynesworth Standing Over DunnHe now works out year round so he doesn’t come into camp edging up near 400 pounds. The Giants will have to deal with him now and the Eagles will have to deal with him later.

It’s a simple fact in football that you can’t run your offense with a big 350 monster standing in the middle of your offensive backfield.

Jacobs gave him his respect, “He’s a human being.  He walks on two feet. He bleeds. He
puts on pants one leg at a time. He’s a great player, don’t get me
wrong. Probably one of the most dominant players in the NFL. But there’s no reason to go in there and only think about him. They’ve got a whole defensive team.”

I said all of that to say that if anybody can handle Fat Albert it’s the New York Giants offensive line. That offensive line is the best run blocking group in the league.

Giants center Sean O’Hara had this to say about Fat Albert.  “In our eyes he was brought to the Washington Redskins for one reason: To stop our running game.”

I’m going to make sure I watch the tape of this one.

For the record, Haynesworth is listed at 350 right now and Jacobs is listed at 264.
