The New York Giants have just suspended Plaxico Burress for a week because of insubordination.
Burress missed practice on Monday and didn't return calls made to him for a day or so.
Giants head coach Tom Coughlin met with Burress and listened to his excuses for not showing up. Obviously Coughlin didn't buy what Burress had to say, so he and Giants General Manager Jerry Reese suspended him.
Burress will only miss the Giants game against the Seattle Seahawks.
