Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie had his "state of the team" news conference this morning after the early practice. Jeffrey says the Eagles are obsessed with winning a Super Bowl.
Jeffrey began his comments by praising last year's team. He patted Andy and his staff on the back while tallking last year's team and their ability to overcome injuries to their franchise quarterback Donovan Mcnabb, and star defenisve end Jevon Kearse. He credited the performance to the character of the football team. He compared the loss of McNabb and Kearse to the loss of Brady and Seymour, Manning and Freeney, or Brees and Will Smith. You could see he was prepared for this session he seemed to pounce on the questions immediately after they were asked.
He said at 30 years of age, McNabb was at the prime of his career despite the injuries that have sidelined him at the end of the last two seasons. Lurie expressed regret that Donovan has had to deal with so much controversy during his time with the Eagles, because so much of it has come from outside football. Lurie said he still feels McNabb is one of the top three quarterbacks in all of football.
When asked about McNabb and his newly found freedom from the franchise, Lurie said he would encourage anything Donovan were to do to allow the Philly fans to get to know him better. Jeffrey said that Donovan is a wonderful person plus a wonderful quarterback and he thinks the fans' appreciation of him will increase the more they get to know him. He said he had no problem with Donovan doing some things on his own.
He attributed the growth of the Eagles brand to the fact that they've been winning and have a shot each year at winning the Super Bowl. Jeffrey spoke about how much the appreciate the fans and love coming out to Lehigh and giving them a chance to get upclose with the players.
The Eagles owner stayed away from praising rookie Kevin Kolb too much by saying that he was only a hope for the future and nothing but surplus at this time.
Lurie took us back to the draft of 1999 when the Birds drafted Donovan and offered a bit of new information by saying that Edgerrin James no Ricky Williams was their highest ranked running back coming out in the draft. All this did was dig into the voices that said the Birds should have drafted Williams instead of McNabb.
Jeffrey seconded McNabb's call for the team to seal the deal by winning a Super Bowl championship. Lurie went on to say that the Birds are obsessed with winning a Super Bowl. Star running back Brian Westbrook had supported McNabb's statement earlier at his own news conference. Lurie said he sees the same sense of urgency about winning it all. The owner also said that the team tries to win the big one each and every year.
Lurie ended the the news conference talking about how hard it has been to get over losing tough playoff games like the one lost in the playoffs at the end of last season.

Thanks for the tips about credit repair on this blog. Things i would advice people would be to give up the actual mentality that they’ll buy right now and pay out later. As a society all of us tend to do that for many things. This includes holidays, furniture, as well as items we would like. However, you have to separate your own wants from all the needs. When you are working to improve your credit rating score you have to make some sacrifices. For example you are able to shop online to save money or you can turn to second hand shops instead of costly department stores with regard to clothing.
