For a minute Ryan Howard led the way in the All-Star game home run derby , but he couldn't hold off Prince Fielder and the Milwaukee Brewers first baseman won this year's home run derby in Milwaukee.
You could see Howard was trying to put on a show for the St. Louis crowd being that it's where Howard grew up, but he hadn't gotten off to a fast start. The big guy hit a total of 15 home runs on the night.
Nelson Cruz of the Texan Rangers and Fielder had each hit a total of 11 home runs early on. Howard was trailing, took the lead for a minute and was passed by the two on the way to the final round.
Fielder edged out Cruz in the end with a 6 to 5 victory in the final round.
