I know that was a great clutch hit by Jimmy Rollins last night, but I still can’t get over the greatness of Ryan Howard.
This guy hit another home run and remains under-appreciated.
I had people calling me on 610-WIP and complaining about him. I don’t want to hear any more complaints about Ryan Howard.
I don’t want to hear any more complaints about his strikeouts or his fielding. I don’t want to hear any more complaints about how much money he’s making.
This guy is the greatest power hitter of our lifetime.
He has averaged 45 home runs and 140 RBI’s through the first five and half years of his career. No other player in the history of Major League Baseball has started out their career with those numbers.
He took fewer at bats to get to 100 home runs and 200 home runs than any other player in the history of Major League Baseball.
I think he should have been the National League Most Valuable Players last year when he had the greatest month of any Phllies player ever to carry the Phils to the NL East title and put them in position to win a World Series.
He is already the Phillies All-Time playoff RBI leader. It took him 22 games to do more than what Mike Schmidt was able to do in 36 games.
He tied Lou Gehrig for having eight straight post season games with an RBI. He has 14 RBI’s so far this post season.
He has reached base safely in 18 straight post season games.
As long as he’s hitting 45 home runs and 140 RBI’s a year he is the Phillies Most Valuable Player with the strikeouts and errant throws.
