The Philadelphia 76ers have shocked everybody
with the way they have progressed so quickly as a basketball team. We're all very anxious to see how far they can go in this year's NBA playoffs. I figure that were they to win a round this year it would mean they could do even more next year after utilizing that money they have and signing a superstar player.
I was shocked to find out that Ed Snider has no plans to utilize that money to sign a superstar. He was on Daily News Live on Comcast Sportsnet and he said the Sixers are interested in paying a superstar $20 million to tell the general manager how to run the team.. This is clearly a response to the many years Allen Iverson spent here in Philly.
Snider must realize that every superstar isn't like Iverson. He can find guys who will play team ball. If he wants to build a champion he's got to find a superstar. Tim Duncan is a superstar but how much trouble does he start.
I'm concerned about the Sixers mentality.
