A source has told ESPN's Michael Smith that McNabb and the Eagles' brass sat down last week for a few hours to talk.
According to Smith, they talked about the benching and cleared the air on that issue. What I find intriguing about Smith's report, is that he says that Donovan may hold off on his request to get a new deal until he sees that the Eagles upgrade their roster.
He then says that if McNabb doesn't feel that the Eagles are getting him help, he may not only drop his request for an extension, he might ask for a trade.
Ouch.
This could be one interesting offseason. McNabb is now holding the cards, but you know how Banner and Reid get when someone gets in a huff. I see Kevin Kolb warming up on the sidelines.
