It Could Be Ocho Cinco Not Boldin

The chances of the Eagles landing Anquan Boldin are looking more and more remote.  The Eagles don't want to trade away their other first round pick and the Cards would rather trade him out of the NFC.

The Cardinals don't want to get into the playoffs and find themselves facing Boldin in an Eagles or Giants uniform.  From what I understand, Arizona has come to the point where they realize they may not ever be able to ever please Boldin, so they may have to trade him.

They have started looking at trading in a serious manner and realized that the Eagles and the Giants may be the teams in between themselves and another Super Bowl appearance.  it would be foolish for them to help improve either of those teams.

Now it's been made public that the Ravens in the middle of the Boldin chase. They've got a young quarterback in Joe Flacco who needs weapons.

They need a receiver who could make plays against their divisional rival, the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Boldin has that type of toughness.

It makes sense for Ozzie Newsome and Baltimore to be interested in somebody like Boldin.

On the other hand, Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson seems to be out there to be had.  The Bengals are growing tired of dealing with him and his teammates want to see him set free.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh was on the NFL Network last night saying that he believed Johnson was going to be traded out of Cincy.  He said Chad's teammates are tired of him being held captive there.  Remember that they didn't get a lot of production out of him a year ago.

This fits the Eagles situation right now because I don't see how the Bengals could ask for a first round pick for him. He's 31 years old and coming off of a bad, injury-plagued season.

On another note, I have also heard rumors that the Birds may move up in the first round to get a playmaker or as they say it, a difference-maker.  This would be a dramatic change for them if they were to pull the cord on this type of move.
