if you wonder why so many players in the NFL agree to let a shark like Drew Rosenhaus represent them, you can see why by the predicament Sheldon Brown finds himself in.
Brown has been out front fighting for himself rather than letting his representative, Jason Chayut, do it and it hasn't been going well.
Much of Drew Rosenhaus' value is that he can be the bad guy. The player can sit back and be the good guy. You probably hate Roesnhaus' guts but that means he has been doing his job.
The non-descript agent Chayut whom Brown has, is of no value to him. You don't dislike Chayut right now, you're starting not to like Brown because his demands.
For the money Brown will have to pay him, the agent should be the face and mouth out front instead Sheldon.
Sheldon has destroyed much of the good will that he had built up with the fans during the six years he's been here in town.
If he had Roesnhaus, everybody would be talking about how much they hated him as an agent, while Brown worked out and called the shots behind the scenes.
