As expected the Philadelphia Eagles front office was delighted to see the NFL owners and players agree on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement. Team owner Jeffrey Lurie is pleased that the fans will miss no games. “I’m glad we were able to reach this agreement without interrupting the season for our fans”, Lurie said in a statement released this afternoon.
He went on to stress the length of the deal. “A 10-year contract is unprecedented in professional sports. By the time this contract ends, the NFL and its player will have been able to play 33 uninterrupted seasons of football.”
Team President Joe Banner stressed the fact that the front office is ready to hit the ground running. “Even during the lockout, we kept working through the summer knowing we had to be ready for this moment – to go from zero to 100 mph overnight.”
Banner seems to feel that he and his dealmakers in the front office can give the football team an advantage by mastering these new rules in a hurry. “Now we have to be quick learners, and quick to act. We’re studying the new contract hard so we can make good football decisions fast. We want to be on top of the nuances of this new agreement so we can help our ball club compete.”
Andy Reid:was pleased with the return of football, “I’m happy that the NFL and its players can get back doing what they love to do. The coaches can get back to coaching. Players can get back to playing and we’re all pleased about that.
“As far as our team, we look forward to reconvening in the near future and we are looking forward to holding training camp once again on the campus of Lehigh University. We understand that we have a lot of work ahead of us in order to get ready for the season opener at St. Louis and I’m excited to get started on that as soon as we can.”

He just happens to oversee one of the top succesful NFL Franchise in all of NFL.. You can count on 1 hand how many NFL Franchises have had as much consistent success over the last Decade or so and the Eagles would be right up there with the Patriots/Steelers/Colts/Ravens/Giants
The Eagles have managed their Salary CAp, Free-agents,Drafts as well as anyone and have stayed away from problem players and problem contracts and have one of the longest tenured Head Coaches so in the end, we can say Joe Banner is an idiot or cheap and doesn’t know jack about Football or how to run an organization but the Reality is that Joe Banner is one of the Best in the NFL at what he does and if you can’t acknowldge this, then you are not being honest or realistic or are just not a very knowledgeable person on how to run a NFL Franchise..
