Much like the Cowboys, the Redskins started out the 2008 season like gangbusters.
Running back Clinton Portis was leading the league in rushing and quarterback Jason Campbell was staying away from making mistakes.
Injuries hit their offensive line and things started heading south.
Pro Bowl left tackle Chris Samuels went down with a torn tricep muscle and the Skins didn't really have anybody capable of replacing him.
Samuels is considered the best offensive lineman on the Skins roster, but the fact that he's missed so much action could cause him to take a while to get back on his game.
He's an exceptional athlete who excels at both the run and passing game.
Veteran riight tackle Jim Jansen who hasn't been able to stay healthy for years couldn't stay on the field a year ago. Jansen's inability to stay healthy has been so evident that isn't considered a starter by the Redskins coaching staff.
Guard Randy Thomas will be returning after having surgery on his back to repair a herniated disc. Thomas also is dealing with other injuries that has taken him off the field.
Last year's starter at right tackle, former free agent out of Maryland, Stephen Heyer was shakey in his starting role so the Skins aren't sure they want to put him back on the field.
The Redskins as so desperate for offensvie linemen that they signed veteran tackle Mike Williams who said he was up to 450 pounds recently. He hasn't played in the NFL since 2005 and was so fat and out of shape that he couldn't attend the recent mini camp.
This group could become a disaster for the Skins in the upcoming season.
Maybe they could use Winston Justice. I'm Osi Umenyiora and the other Giants defensive line would love to see him.
