Vincent Sees Leadership

Former Eagles Pro Bowl cornerback Troy Vincent was on 610-WIP with Howard Eskin talking about the Eagles off season moves.

Vincent thinks the move to make the offensive line younger was a great one.

He played with left tackle Jason Peters in Buffalo and said he was a beast who will bring great play and leadership to the football team. I could tell you he acts like a mean dude when I met him a couple weeks ago at the Nova Care complex.

He believes the timing of Brian Dawkins' departure was a natural transition which was bound to happen.  He feels Quintin Mikell and Quintin Demps will be ready to take over at the safety position.

Vincent also doesn't believe the Eagles will be suffering from a lack of leadership because of Dawkins, Tra Thomas, Jon Runyan, Correll Buckhalter and Lito Sheppard heading elsewhere.

He believes Donovan McNabb, Brian Westbrook, Sheldon Brown and Peters will fill those leadership gaps with no problems.

Vincent has yet to meet Eagles middle linebacker Stewart Bradley but he says he probably has leadership qualities because most middle linebackers do.
