Maclin Is Seperating Himself

Jeremy Maclin is really starting to shine in the workouts.  His routes are getting better and he's seperating himself from the other receviers.

Nearly every time Kevin Kolb has the chance to throw him the ball he does.  You can see that Maclin has gained Kolb's trust, now he'll have to do the same with Donovan McNabb.

During the seven on seven drill, which is a passing game competition between the offensive skill players and the linebackers and defensive backs, Maclin must have caught eight to ten passes.

Most of them were outs, curls and other intermediate routes.  He's getting better at selling the defensive back on a deep route before he breaks it off.  The youngster has showed off his speed a few times, so the defensive backs respect him.

It's taken a bit of time but he's coming on strong and as before this dude doesn't drop the football.

I talked to him after the workout about his concentrating on pumping his arms like Andy Reid, Marty Mornhinweg and David Culley have been asking him to do.

He ran a deep route on rookie cornerback Courtney Robinson of UMass and had him beat by a few steps but Kevin Kolb underthrew it and Robinson knocked it down.

I could see he was pleasing Andy and Marty.  They're not coaching him after every route.  Reid talked to him after practice and the youngster was doing nothing but smiling.
