We have some updates from Eagles practice today, including information on Brian Westbrook's ankle surgery.
The Eagles announced today that Brian Westbrook's ankle surgery was successful, although it did require more than the minimally invasive scope of the area.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Mark Myerson of Baltimore, Maryland.
The procedure removed bone fragments from the back of the Pro Bowler's ankle which required an incision. One of the bone fragments was resting on a tendon which was causing inflammation and pain for Westbrook any time he would stand up on his toes.
As for practice the only significant news to come out is that LeSean McCoy has sprained a finger. The team, however, believes that McCoy will be able participate in the next practice with a protective wrapping to support the injured finger.
