Eagles punter Sav Rocca has one of the strongest legs in all of pro football but he needs to be more consistent,
Along with Rocca, free agent punter and former police sargeant Ken Parrish has got some power in his leg.
Both Rocca and Parrish have been booming punts all during these camps. To my surprise Parrish's leg strength rivals that of the much bigger Rocca.
They both have been booming 50 and 55 yarders with great hang time.
As I see them boom punt after punt, I have begun to think that there can't be 32 punters in the league who are better than these two, so I think both of them will be in the NFL this season.
Of course Parrish has to prove he can boom those punts in the preseason games.
I said both of them will be in the league, but I don't know which one will be here. It will probably be Rocca but it's not a definite.
Parrish is 24 years old and Rocca is 35. You can believe it's not something which the Eagles aren't aware of.
If they punt at the same level, the Eagles would probably be more apt to take the younger guy. It's an uphill battle for Parrish but not out of the quesion.
Remember also that Rocca has punted poorly at times in the cold weather. Reminder, it gets cold around here every year.
