Just to show how bogus some of the player rankings that these NFL experts do, check out the fact that Pete Prisco of CBSSports.com has Jamaal Jackson listed as the 10th best center in the league.
You've might have said that in 2006 when Jackson was one of the keys to an offensive line which led the team to the playoffs. Now you've got to be kidding.
Prisco should realize that the Eagles were trying to sign former Baltiimore Ravens center/guard Jason Brown to come in here and take over the center position.
The Birds can't run the ball inside consistently because Jackson doesn't get any movement off the line of scrimmage against good defensive tackles.
He's a better and more consistent pass blocker than he is a run blocker. At times I feel it would be a good thing if the Birds had a more aggressive center. A more physical center might make the offensive line a more effective run blocking group.
Prisco is accurate when says Jackson has lapses and can get out of shape.
He'd better show up to camp ready to go or they may give Nick Cole a shot at his job.
Pete Prisco's Top Ten Centers
