The Eagles two new starting offensive tackles couldn’t make it through the fitness tests.
Everyone was so eager to see the Eagles new offensive line start working together, but two of members the group of five were unable to practice.
Right tackle Shawn Andrews starting having back spasms after a running test and had to sit out of practice.
Left tackle Jason Peters started having quad spasms after completing the running test.
After practice Shawn talked to the media and started talking about how “nothing comes easy in life”. You would have thought he had contracted a life-threatening disease.
I’m concerned about the way Shawn talks at times. I don’t know whether he’s putting on a show or really getting down on the situation. They need to keep an eye on him and they had better have a good Plan B in case something goes awry.
I don’t think the Peters injury will be a big deal. He talks to the media afterwards and he was positive about getting back on the field.
The big left tackle didn’t practice but was out on the field working out.
