This was an awful loss which could lead to some major changes down the road for this football team. This team has some serious problems, but at the same time, their talent is undeniable. Michael Vick and DeSean Jackson had big games. Jason Babin had a big day with three-sacks.
The talent is one of the reasons that the decision to make so many changes in the coaching staff is bringing so much criticism on Andy Reid.
QB Michael Vick set career highs with 30 completions and 416 passing yards, while also contributing 75 rushing yards and two passing touchdowns. It was his sixth-career 300-yard game, and his fourth as an Eagle … According to Stats Inc., it was the most passing yards ever by a player with 75 or more rushing yards … His 416 yards were the seventh-highest total in team history and the most since Donovan McNabb’s 450 on 11/15/09 at San Diego … Vick (4,858) is now just 70 yards shy of Randall Cunningham (4,928) for the most rushing yards in NFL history by a quarterback.
Big Play DJ … WR DeSean Jackson led the team with 171 receiving yards, marking his 13th career 100-yard game (second this season) and tying Ben Hawkins and Harold Jackson for the seventh-highest total in team history (including postseason) … It was the third-highest yardage output of his career.
Babin Breaks Out … DE Jason Babin had a career-high three sacks, marking his second multi-sack game of the season and the eighth of his career. It is the first time in his career that he has had a sack in four straight games, and he now has 10.5 sacks in his last eight contests, including three multi-sack efforts … The last Eagle three-or-more sacks in a game was Trent Cole, who notched 3.5 on 9/23/07 vs. Detroit … Babin’s 7.0 sacks this season are the most ever by an Eagle through four games.
King Size Block … T King Dunlap blocked a 45-yard David Akers field goal attempt, which was recovered by Colt Anderson and led to an Eagles field goal. It was the first blocked kick by an Eagle since Antonio Dixon’s block of a 48-yard attempt by Robbie Gould on 11/22/09 at Chicago.
Offensive Quick Hits … TE Clay Harbor caught his second-career touchdown … RB LeSean McCoy had six receptions for 34 yards and his second receiving touchdown of the season. McCoy has scored a touchdown in all four games this season … The Eagles offense netted 513 yards of total offense, which is the sixth-highest total ever under Andy Reid.
Vick & DJax had all yardage, nothing else. All fluff! Redzone sucks! Although the D-line is getting to the QB, they have to take blame for the running game first! They are allowing the RB’s, to get to that horrific second level of the DF!!!! The wide 9, should be re-named the wide opened line! How do you go into the season, knowing your going to this system & do nothing to improve the LB’s & Safeties!? Absolute, unacceptable, absurdity, & cluelessness!
There has been 4 games this season so far and Vick has started all of them. Good to see Vick is’nt just a one year wonder. He’s completing 60% of his passes and has 6 tds and 3 ints (2 Which were batted in the air by his own reciever) He’s running the ball good and smart and is about to break the record. I think he actually looks better than last year (Besides the Redskins game) He’s putting up points, and leading drives down the field, but dumb mistakes such as penalties, missed field goals, and alot of bad defensive play has hurt us. The Offense is there. We gotta do something about the defense though. 3 fourth qtr leads, and 3 losses. We very easily could be 4-0. Were killing our own selves this year. is Mike vick doesnt get hurt once this season we beat ATL AND nyg. San FrAN he stayed in and did his thing, but that pushover D killed us

Trade D-Jax for a Stud LB.. He’s going to walk anyways after this Season and the Eagles may as get something for him while they can…
D-Jax and his Agent will lose a little leverage for negoitiatiing a big COntract Deal for D-Jax if the EAgles finish 6-10 or 7-9 which is very realistic..
The Eagles Front-Office are now not going to turn around and give another big contract for a team with many holes to plug and the WR position is not one of them…

opponents RB has to do when rushing vs this Eagles Defense is to decide on whether to cut left or right …
Maybe Vick and Babin are on Howie’s and Joe’s fantasy team. Giving Juan the DC job just validates Andy’s poor judgement not to mention redzone offense, player choices, hurry up offense, challanges, lack of balance in the offense, blowing timeouts, team motivation, two rookie kickers, linebackers who could start for other NFL teams. He is clueless in many areas and seem to be getting worse.

The Eagles Front 4 will all get more sacks but at the expense of playing solid fundamental team defense which is soreley lacking.. Babin and Cole will get their 12-14 Sacks and Jenkins and others will get 4-8 Sacks but they won’t stop the 150-160 YArds Rushing against sthem, they won’t stop teams from getting TD’s in the Red-Zone so it’s all relevant… My barometer for Team Defense Success is Points Allowed, 3rd Down Efficiancy, Red-Zone Efficiency and Turnovers Created which ultimately lead to more Victories… and right now, this Eagle team isn’t doing good in any of these areas..

Schiller that one thing that Banner would bring to our attention after a 1-3 start don’t forget Vick’s record yardage. We are winning in fantasy football. Many of the fans were wondering why Babin was such a bust under Rory and not Washburn.
