Andrews Walking Around Like The Invisible Man

Even superstar football players become invisible men when they get injured.  That's why I'm very concerned about Eagles Pro Bowl guard Shawn Andrews.

I was driving through the Lehigh campus last night to enjoy some crabs cooked by former Eagles wide receiver Harold Carmichael when I looked up to see injured guard Andrews driving in front of me.

As I saw him all I could do was thinking about where his psyche is at right now.  He's an invisible man in the meeting because he's not playing right now.  The coaches coach the healthy players.  They don't coach injured players.

I thought he had worked out hard all off season then he shows up to training camp and he has his back lock up after the team's fitness test.

Now he walks around slowly with his multi-colored mohawk haircut and an ice bag on his back. Nobody knows if he getting better and when he's going to retun to action.

I don't know what's going on with him and I don't know that the Eagles know what's going on with him either.

There's reason to be concerned.

With Jeremy Maclin now signed, everything is looking good for the offense going forward, everything that is except Andrews and he happens to be a big part of their plan.

I don't care how much Winston Justice fights at practice I don't feel good about him working as the team's starting right tackle.  I don't have the confidence in him.

Sorry but I have trouble forgetting those six sacks he allowed in that Giants game.  Oh by the way, Osi Umenyiora, Justin Tuck and  Demarcus Ware are all probably smiling at the knowledge that Justice is starting at right tackle
