Reid Refuses To Focus On Injuries

You've got to give Andy Reid credit for being smart enough not to be wringing his hands about the injury to Shawn Andrews, Stewart Bradley and Cornelius Ingram.  Focusing on injuries is not the thing that a head coach can afford to do.

When asked about the injuries and arrest of Juqua Parker Reid responded, "You move on, man. It's a shame those things happen, but the reality is that the next guy has to step in and play and play well.

They're getting great reps out here and there's a great attitude. I don't think anyone is hanging their head about anything. They're all very confident."

He can't afford to let his football team see him crying about some of the unfortunate things that have happened.

It's one of the reasons this team has been so consistent over the years.  Reid isn't up and down and all over the place.  He's steady, consistent and focused on getting this team ready to play.

He focuses on working with the healthy players.  This enables his players to focus on their work.

Training camp is utilized to develop a football team and bring it together.

Reid has been able to get this team ready to play when Donovan McNabb has been injured.  They've found ways to win last year when they were given up for dead.

Although you can criticize Reid for numerous weaknesses, you have to give him credit for being a strong, steady leader who does an outstanding job of giving his team a good example of battling through adversities.

Like Reid or not, the guy doesn't have pity parties when something happens.
