Special Chemistry Between DMac & DJax

I'm starting to see a special relationship developing between Donovan McNabb and DeSean Jackson.  It started last year now this year it's going to another level.

A perfect example of what I'm talking about occurred on a simple curl route this morning.

Jackson came out and lined to the left which is the side manned by the best defender of the curl route that I have ever seen in my life.

Asante Samuel can pick off a curl route with his eyes closed.  He was covering DeSean on the play and most of the time that means go to another receiver, but McNabb believes in DeSean.

Jackson came off of the line with his blazing speed and tried to get Samuel to get out of his back pedal and turn in fear of the deep route.  It was as if Samuel knew the play because he wouldn't come out of his back pedal.

When DeSean stopped to come back to the ball on the curl route, Samuel was draped all over him, but McNabb threw the ball any way.  Samuel was to Jackson's left side so McNabb threw the ball to his right.

It was a great throw and an even better catch because Samuel used his body to pin Jackson's left arm, so he couldn't use it to catch the ball.

No problem for Jackson, he used his body and the one arm he had free to catch the football.

On another play a couple plays later, McNabb rolled out to his right against a bltiz and threw a bullet to DeSean who had to extend as far as possible to bring it in.

I've noticed during camp that McNabb throws balls to DeSean that he won't throw to the other guys.  He trusted him last year as a rookie and seems to trust him more this year.

I see them connected better on all phases, short, intermediate and deep.

They seem to see the same thing on the coverages and McNabb has confidence that Jackson is going to get open.

That's why I think both of them are headed for big years because McNabb has had only one full year with a true number one receiver. He set records that year and I could see that happening again.
