Andy Reid was on 610-WIP today and he talked about his injured right tackle Shawn Andrews. Reid said the Birds sent him to California so that the surgeon, Dr. Robert Watkins, who operated on him could check him out.
Reid said he's hopeful that Andrews will be able to play when the season starts, but they sent him on this trip to find out where he's at in his recovery.
Tomorrow, Brian Westbrook will talk to the media and we'll be able to find out how far away he is from playing.
