Westbrook Says He’s On Schedule

Brian Westbrook says he's been making great progress in the recovery from knee and ankle surgery.  He hasn't had any setbacks and is on schedule to return to full strength by the Carolina game.

He's working on his cuts and working on his balance.  Brian praised trainer Rick Burkholder for the job he has done getting him back to this point.

Westbrook says he wouldn't mind getting into the game in the preseason but he would have no problem if he doesn't get the chance to do so.

He's excited about getting on the field with all the young talented players they have acquired.

The star back doesn't think about being thirty or worry about his talented backup LeSean McCoy.

BWest says it's all about being productive and not about what age you are.

He said he feels good about where he is now and is eager to get to work.

Westbrook said he had no problem with the Eagles signing Michael Vick and didn't need anything special from him to forgive him. He said he knew Vick from meeting him and spending time with him at the Pro Bowl.
