The addition of fullback Leonard Weaver was clearly one of the best things that has happened to the Birds this off season. His injury last night really concerned me but the Birds say it ‘s not serious.
They say he sprained his MCL. I think he will probably be day-to-day for the forseeable future.
Weaver has tremendous value to the Eagles because he can do so many things. He’s an outstanding blocker, receiver and ball carrier.
The dude knows this offense very well and he fits in like he’s been here five years.
The fullback also makes plays on special teams and is already a team leader.
He immediately makes this football team better.
If I were the Birds I wouldn’t play him any more this preseason.
