The Chiefs are hopeful that their star WR Dwayne Bowe will be able to play on Sunday against the Birds, but his hamstring might not cooperate.¬† If Bowe can’t play, that severely limits an offense that was already severely limited.
Last year, the Chiefs only had two decent receiving options.¬† One was Bowe, and the other is now Matt Ryan’s tight end down in Atlanta.¬† The rest of the team?¬† Eh.¬† They are bad.¬† The Eagles would probably get a healthy dose of Bobby Engram and Bobby Wade at receiver.¬† You think DeSean Jackson is important to the Eagles?¬† Imagine losing Dwayne Bowe and being left with that lot.

The Chiefs will also most likely be without linebacker Derrick Johnson.¬† A former first-round pick in 2005, Johnson finally started to play well the last couple weeks after a late preseason demotion by Todd Haley (Haley seems big on demotions as a motivating factor.¬† He dropped Bowe to the bottom of the depth chart this preseason as well in order to get him to stop screwing around).¬† The team is hopeful that Johnson can go, but his recent comments indicate that he’ll be on the sideline.¬† Expect Demorrio Williams to start in his place.¬†
