We Need To Start Seeing Something Out Of Vick And The Wildcat

Vick handing ball off We’ve had enough talk about Michael Vick and the Wildcat offense.  It’s now time for Vick and the Wildcat to start producing something on the field, namely some yards and some points.

I’m writing this article about Vick and the Wildcat but I’m not going to be writing many more articles until they prove they’re worth writing about.  So far all of the hype hasn’t been worth it.

The Eagles will probably be able to beat the Bucs and the Raiders without much production from Vick and the Wildcat but they’ll have to do something against Washington.

Vick should drop the Superman talk and start making some Superman plays.  Somebody pull his coattail about refraining from that type of talk around here until he is producing.

Andy Reid and Marty Mornhinweg must make their mind up about exactly what they want to do with Vick and the Wildcat, then start coming out with a clear plan about when and how they want to employ it.

They might not tell us exactly what that plan is but we should be able to decipher a plan when they send Vick in the game next week versus Tampa.

Vick running onto the field I know he’s going to continue making the anti-dogfighting speeches but I’m not interested in how many people show up and how he comes across.  I’m interested in his contributions to this football team.

It’s football time and I want to see him start producing some yardage and/or points for this Eagles offense.

So Andy and Marty look at the all the video you want this weekend, figure out what you want to do with Vick and the Wildcat and let’s get this thing going.

If Vick and the Wildcat continue misfiring and failing to produce, at some time or another we need to shut this whole experiment down until further notice.

We’re not at that point yet, but once the Giants and Cowboys come into the picture we will be at that point.

If he runs that option against that New York defense and isn’t sure what he’s doing, one of those Giants defensive linemen could break him in half.

Plus, it won’t make any sense to pull McNabb and the west coast offense off the field, so that Vick and the misfiring Wildcat can go in the game and struggle.

Hey Clark Kent tell your friend the clock is ticking.
