Brian Westbrook says he hasn’t been given any assurances that he’s going to get the chance to carry the football the ball more than he has recently.
Still BWest is confident there are going to be games on the schedule when the offense is going to have to run the football more. He said he has no problem not touching the ball a lot as long as they continue to win.
Westbrook said the Birds have tried to bring in additional weapons for years, but now they have them with all of these impressive young players on the roster.
He said the weapons they have are impressive.
BWest said tight end Brent Celek is playing at a Pro Bowl level. He talked about the speed and quickness of wide receiver DeSean Jackson and the fact that he also has been playing at a Pro Bowl level.
Westbrook talked about rookie running back LeSean McCoy and how he was very good now and capable of getting better.
Finally he discussed young wide out Jeremy Maclin and the amazing performance he had against the Bucs last Sunday.
He talked about adding himself and McNabb to all this talent should make them a very tough offense to stop.
On the other side, Westbrook said that there’s a draw back to having all of this talent. You don’t get the ball as much.
