To most Eagles fans this is just another game, but if you look closer this is a huge game for the Birds.
It’s a conference game, its a division game and it may be the easiest game the Birds have left. The only good thing about the loss to the Raiders was the fact that it was out of the conference.
If the Birds lose this game, it will put their playoff chances in jeopardy. They could find themselves two games behind the Giants and two games out of the wild card race with quite a few tough games left on the schedule.
The Birds need to win this game in the worst way.
It’s not going to be an easy game because the Skins know them very well. They’re not going to be up and down the field every time they get the ball so they have to make the most of each opportunity
They must stay away from turnovers and put the ball into the endzone when they get in the red zone.
Turnovers and field goals will open the door for the Redskins to upset them.
I want them to get the ball to Brian Westbrook in the open field on some screens and draws. DeSean Jackson should be able to beat his man deep a time or two, and Donovan McNabb has to hit him when this happens.
I want to see Brent Celek regain his form after a poor game. He’ll be working against linebackers and capable of having a big day.
The key to the Birds offense will be the play of their offensive line.
