I’m sure all Eagles fans know by now that Brian Westbrook missed the Cowboys game because of continued concussion symptoms.
Specifically, he didn’t play in the game against the Cowboys because he had a headache on Friday.
I thought that was all that was bothering the Birds speeding running back but thanks to Andy Reid’s Monday news conference, Westbrook had to be treated for ankle swelling.
That’s not good news folks. Westbrook is following the same path of Birds wide receiver Kevin Collins who literally breaking down before our eyes.
I’m sure Curtis won’t be back with Birds next year, but it’s starting to look like Westbrook won’t be back either.
I think it was a good decision by Reid not to play Westbrook last night as a precaution, seeing that he had suffered a concussion less than two weeks ago.
The fact that his ankle is still swelling says alot about his body’s inability to continue take the pounding which is delivered a running back in the National Football League.
It makes me start to believe that his time to hang it up is drawing close.
