I don’t like the thought of Devin Hester in one on one situations all day with Dmitri Patterson or an injured Sheldon Brown.
You can also bet that Jay Cutler and the Bears are going to try to catch Asante Samuel looking in the backfield, Cutler will pump fake and they’ll try to beat him deep for a long touchdown pass.
The defense should try to force Cutler to be patient and throw underneath. He doesn’t seem to have a lot of patience. If they make him show some patience by taking away the big play opportunities, I think he’ll throw them the ball.
On the other hand, Cutler has a rifle of an arm and Hester can run like the wind, so it wouldn’t be wise for the Birds to give them any opportunities deep.
Good tackling will also be very important because we’ve seen what Hester can do in the open field as a kickoff and punt returner.
My advice to Patterson and the Eagles secondary, give Hester room because he’s faster than you think he is.
I think turnovers will decide the game so it’s vital that the Eagles secondary has got to catch all of the interception opportunities that come their way.
