Last night Andy Reid said that Donovan McNabb was a Hall Of Fame quarterback. Today he broke it down a bit more.
He didn’t say that McNabb would go into the Hall of Fame right now, if he was to retire, but he said McNabb would be a Hall of Fame level quarterback when he is finished.
Reid said he thinks McNabb will play a number of additional years after this season, but he believes he will be a Hall of Famer when he’s done.
I know a lot of local media persons and fans would argue against what Reid said but I agree with Big Red on this one.
The guy has led five teams to NFC Championship games, while throwing for over 200 touchdowns and over 31,000 yards. No, he isn’t Tom Brady or Peyton Manning but he still has a very impressive resume.
His career isn’t over and I could see him playing for five or six more years.
Remember that guys like Warren Moon and Dan Fouts are in the Hall of Fame and neither of them ever played in the Super Bowl. They made the Hall because of stats.
