The Eagles should be able to beat the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon because they're no longer the Monsters Of The Midway. The key offensively will be Andy and Marty making sure they keep the Bears worried about them running the football.
Brian Westbrook will get the Bears attention especially when you take into account the way rookie Adrian Peterson took them apart last week. If the Eagles run the ball enough, it will keep Chicago's defensive front four occupied enough to allow the Eagles offensive line to give McNabb enough time to slice up their secondary.
The Tampa Two zone is just what the doctor ordered for the Birds because they work better against zones than man to man coverages. I predict a big day for the Birds throwing game as long as they run the ball at least 25 times between Westbrook, Correll Buckhalter and Tony Hunt.
In the redzone, I want to see Westbrook in the game split out with either Buckhalter or Hunt in there as well. That way it forces the defense to double Westbrook and be vulnerable to the run.
I expect the Eagles to win this football game because it's there for the taking. You can't flip a switch and get your defense performing well, so I don't think the Bears defense will have a good day.
The defense has to stop the big play and catch the interceptions Brian Griese will throw to them. The job shouldn't be that difficult.
Don't kick or punt the ball to Devin Hester.
I expect to see the Eagles beat this Chicago team convincingly by a 27-13 score.
