A few Oklahoma players who were slated to go in the early rounds
didn't help themselves by running some slow forty yard dash times.
Wide receiver Malcolm Kelly who was rated by some as the top wide receiver in this draft ran a 4.68 and 4.75 in his forty times. He's got tremendous size for a wideout. He' measured out at nearly 6'4" and weighted 225 pounds.
Kelly lashed out at the people who set up the facility to run on there at Oklahoma University . Kelly blames the surface he ran on for the poor time which could move him down in the draft.
His teammate Reggie Smith who is capable of playing safety and cornerback ran a 4.61 and 4.65. These are not good times.
Tight end Jermichael Finley who came to Philly and worked out for the Birds, ran a 4.85 and a 4.86 in his forty times.
They ran these times on field turf
Both Kelly and Smith will be hurt by these times when teams discuss this information.
I'd like you to remember the news of these slow times because both kelly and Smith could be draft choices of the Eagles. If these times make them stay on the board longer than expected, they might wind up in the midnight green.
