The Eagles are probably going to be on the clock and have the option of picking safety Kenny Phillips to replace Brian Dawkins.
Phillips is without a question the best safety prospect in the draft. He's got the size and speed needed to be a quality NFL safety. He comes from the same school as Ed Reed but he's not Ed Reed. Phillips is a level lower but he's good.
The Eagles will have to weigh whether they think they can get somebody of Phillips quality later in the draft. They'll have to look at their draft board and see if there's an offensive left tackle on the board who has more value to them than Phillips.
It's a deep draft for defensive ends. Will they think about the February's Super Bowl and reason that you can't have too many pass rushers?
Have they fallen in love with one of the wide receivers so much that they grab one early? I doubt it very much.
