Saints Might Need DE Help

Uh oh.  Saints defensive end Charles Grant has been indicted on involuntary manslaughter charges

stemming from an incident in February at a nightclub.  Grant was stabbed in the neck during the fight that saw 23-year old Korynda Reed shot dead.  The grand jury also charged Laquient Macklin with felony murder and feticide.

Whatever happened to just going to a bar to drink beer and shoot pool?

"We are aware and have no comment," Saints spokesman Greg Bensel said.

In Georgia, they apparently take involuntary manslaughter pretty serious as it is a felony.  Grant also received misdemeanor fighting charges.

The Saints made efforts to improve their defense this offseason and through no fault of their own have taken steps backwards these last two weeks.  LB Dan Morgan retired recently.
