Aaron Rodgers Suffers Shoulder Injury, Status For Sunday’s Game Vs Eagles In Doubt

Aaron RodgersOn Monday Night Football, Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers left the game after just one series with a shoulder injury.

While the Packers have been unable to properly diagnose Rodgers’ injury, it was significant enough for the top quarterback to leave the game against the division rival Bears and put the team’s fate in the hands of Seneca Wallace.

Wallace responded by going 11-19 for 114 yards with no touchdowns and an interception.

The Packers will know more about Rodgers’ injury later in the week, but for the time being his status for Sunday’s game against the Eagles is very questionable.

It could give the Eagles a valuable break, and give them much better odds to steal a game that many would have expected them to lose at the beginning of the season.

The difference between facing Aaron Rodgers and Seneca Wallace is enormous, especially for a defense that has been playing much better football over the last month.

Angelo Cataldi gave Rodgers the malocchio, yesterday morning. He said he wanted Rodgers to get hurt, so the Birds had a chance to win next week. What a JO @$$puppet! I would nevr wish for someone to get hurt, so to better our chances to win. Karma has a way of rearing it’s ugly head, & coming back to bite on the @$$!

That was the worst comment I ever heard. Obviously that A-hole never played the game because you don’t wish a broken bone on your opponent. The only way you condone a broken bone is if your putting the shoulder to someones ribs and they go crack. Bad bad Karma….Im afraid we might lose shady this week. Plus Aaron Rodgers is a stud…always a shame to see a guy like that go down.

I don’t see why this matters.

According to TS, Songs, and the rest of that crew, football is a TEAM game. Quarterback is the same as every other position. Losing Rogers no different than losint their slot DB.

So you can be sarcastic but nobody else can? Get out of here Vinnie, and by the way Wallace didn’t do a bad job last night so if they do win then it will be because GB has a better roster. See how that works not QB but team.

Wallace is servicable but 9-18 isnt good…Lacy kept them in the game. In the end Chicago new Wallace in the 2 min drill wasnt a threat. Thats why we are lucky to have a guy that came in stone cold and did the 2 min drill quite well.

Okay and if GB wins Sunday it’s because they have a better team, not because Wallace is better then Foles, but I personally think that the Eagles pull this one out I like Foles chances going against GB’s defense.

With 2 Starting QB out (Rodgers) Starting WR’s out (Jones,Cobb) , Starting TE (Finley) and Best Pass-Rushers and Defensive LEader in MAtthews.. There is no way this Current Week 10 Roster of the Packers is better than the Eagles (who have ben very fortunate with the injury bug this year when you think about it)
This game will be about the Eagles Def Front 7 being able to control the Packers much improved Rushing Attack with Lacey,Starks & Scat back Franklin…
QB Rodgers will not be playing and I expect the Packers to run the 40-45 Times a Game and be a lower Scoring Game as the Packers offensively with Senaca Wallace will be very limited with their Passing Attack … Would have been a good week to have DT Issac Soapaga still around to help clog the middle..

Take the Under if your a Betting Person..
This will be an old-fashioned slug them out Game

This will be an interesting game: If it is a slugfest, as you suggest, then it will be interesting to see how both Kelly and Foles approach it.

Both made their bones in the PAC 12, which is mostly warm or warmer weather.

However, the NFL, you have to be able to handle colder weather and defensive battles…I don’t care what the stats are: Just win, whatever way you can.

Avoid turn overs, for sure.

Kelly needs to come up with some new wrinkles for the running game.

It’s not a team sport?

– Hoyer was a third stringer putting up wins for the Browns before he was hurt and this was AFTER they traded Trent Richardson away.
– McGown is doing it for the Bears
– Wallace hadn’t taken a snap at all with the first team – they still put up 20 on a strong performance by the backs.

Without Rodgers they are likely not a playoff team and they don’t have a solid backup – Wallace hadn’t played a game since 2011 – but spare with your idiotic drivel. Rodgers is their best offensive player – so losing him is going to hurt.

Jackass.

Hey that’s just like the Eagles with losing Vick….wait…except exactly the opposite.

You’re the moron that opened this can of worms TS by continually downplaying Vick in every Eagles’ loss. You were the one who kept on and on and on about team team team.

So stick with your narrative. As long as the team plays well, it shouldn;t matter wheteher Rogers is there on not.

QB is exactly like any other position. That is (or at lest was) your story. Losing rogers no different than losing an ourtside linebacker.

tsjohnson5
tsjohnson5
November 5, 2013 10:20 am

Um…seriously?

Let’s see Vick led Eagles lost to the 9-0 KC chiefs and the 7-1 Denver Broncos. The SD game had nothing to do with Vick’s play.

Foles led offense lost to the 5-4 Dallas cowboys and beat the 0-8 buccaneers and the 3-5 Raiders.

Let’s see in the first 5 games of the season the defense gave up:

27 – 33 – 26 – 52 – 21points

In the last 4 games of the season (so far) the defense gave up

20 – 17 – 15 – 20 points.

We were ranked 4th in points per game PRIOR to the Dallas game. So no Nick Foles isn’t the primary reason for us winning games. It’s been a TEAM effort that got us here.

Unless you’re honestly going to tell me that Vick was going to lose us the Tampa/Dallas/Giants/Raiders game…you have no point.

“QB is exactly like any other position. That is (or at lest was) your story. Losing rogers no different than losing an ourtside linebacker.”

No one said that. Not even close. But keep on spewing your idiotic bullshit. It makes for entertaining reading.

not what was said you dope. It was ME who said team game over and over and you missed the point.. as usual.

what i said was…… ‘UNLESS YOU HAVE A BRADY, MANNING, ROGERS… you will need to beat teams with solid D, run game and everyone doing their part”.

This is why noone but pom poms likes you…. because you twist words and stats to make them say what you want them to say.

I have seen very very little Vick love on here outside of a redskin fan and a girl. So… you are not hearing what the rest of us have been saying…..

YOU PLAY THE BEST PLAYERS!!!! Right now its pretty clear that Foles is better than Vick…. thats what fans do… they root for their team. TEAM!!! get it?? TEAM!!!!

Take away Eddie Lacy next week. Put 7-8 in box. Make Wallace beat you. Im keeping an eye on the run defense. Last week I thought the run defense was the worst it was all year with room to run for Reece. Im hoping that the departure of Sopoaga wasn’t more important than we thought. He may of clogged up running lanes allowing others to get to the ball. James Jones isn’t healthy, Im doubling Nelson. Senneca Wallace, Boykin and James Jones on a bum knee have to beat me.

Rethinking draft. At 5 10 160lbs DJax is on pace for 80 catches 1400 yards and 11 td monster year. With our 1st pick in the draft can you imagine drafting Mike Evans or Sammy Watkins with our 1st pick then resigning Maclin to a 1 year deal? That gives you Mike Evans and Maclin on the outside with DJax in the slot with Cooper coming in on 4 receiver sets. Or DJax and Maclin/Cooper on the outside with Sammy Watkins in the slot with Shady coming out of the backfield.lol. Then the next 5 rounds drafting defense.

I would then target the best FA guard and replace Herrimans. My offense is set. Then rounds 2-5 Im drafting the best available defensive players on the board. A big, young physical defense. I don’t want any vet FA defensive players over 26. My offense will carry my big, young defense while they grow.

He gets the ball like goes and gets it lol. TO 2.0…you read it here first. Hopefully he isnt a knuckle head though. Wait Barr?? Tou sure? You don’t want one of those running QB’s that have taken over the world lol (ts). My sleeper QB Brenner from NC.

Last year the Eagles biggest weakness were their Offensive tackles,
this year the Eagles biggest weakness is their edge pass rushers – Either top Free Agent signing will be a pass rusher or the first round draft choice —
Maclin and Cooper are Free Agents so something will happen in the free agent marker concerning WR, I don’t think they wait to the draft to address that position.

I have been on the Watkins bandwagon for months. I would love him as a first round pick. Or Evans who is being compared to Vincent Jackson. But Im only taking WR in the first round if Foles doesn’t completely fall on his face/get hurt the remainder of the year. I could see us signing Maclin to a 1 year deal. I think he would like to show his skills in this offense. And its not like he will be getting long term/big money offers now. He probably wouldn’t of gotten big money even if he was healthy based on his prior numbers. They weren’t really anything special. So I think there is a good shot he comes back esp when we got an offensive coach

I would love Sammy Watkins. Not sure WR is the most pressing need right now; especially if Maclin comes back. This team needs to address the offensive line. I’m still not sold on our defense. They’ve played great the past few weeks but I’m not willing to assume that they’ve righted the ship.

btc, we can’t have Maclin & DJax, on the same team again. If they do re-sign Maclin, DJax has to go. Both underachieved, & were busts 2gether.

DJAX has the second most yards in the NFL among all receivers except AJ Greene. D Jax is only 5’10” and can only do somuch due to size limitations…but he was a second round pick, not a #1… I respectfully disagree with you on the bust label…now Maclin…you may have something there.

Are you serious saying Wallace didn’t do a bad job last night Biglion? He was horrendous. He went 11/19 114 yards, INT, no TDs. He has been in the league for years and he puts up numbers like that. He sucks and is not an NFL caliber player. IF we get to play him it would be a huge break. Just goes to show you what a stud franchise QB does for your team. Can you imagine Rodgers going down in preseason? the packers would go from SB contenders to not even making the playoffs with that Wallace bum.

You guys think we pick up Flynn off waivers just to stick it to them? We are definitely before the Packers in the waiver order.

Green Bay was floating with disaster with sub par O lineman for 2 years, I’m surprised it took so long for Rogers to get seriously hurt. Shea McClennin couldn’t sniff a sack since he has come into the league and he is the one to crush Rodgers?

Chip said from day one, in this league you need TWO QBs, if the Packers don’t have that then it’s on them, it’s funny, a college coach who never coached in the NFL knew that and a Super Bowl winning coach didn’t, I predict we crush them this week because of this mishap.

***Paulman Sources***
Eagles to place Vick on Season Ending IR list finishing his CAreer as an Eagles and qquite possibly his NFL Career.. Eagles also to annouce the Signing of Back-up QB Tim Tebow who was in Philadelphia lsast Thursday & Friday for interviews, workouts, etc, etc…
Owner Lurie loves to make a Splash and bring in someone who everyone else has given up on, now Tebow will strictly be a Back-up to Foles since Barkley is not Ready.. Maybe handle a coupe of Wildcat Packages/Shoert Yardage Plays… but this is a done deal per my Sources..
